U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Deydre S. Teyhen, right, presents a “pebble” to Army Col. William F. Bimson for taking action that “removed a pebble from someone else’s shoe.” Teyhen is the director of Defense Health Network Indo-Pacific and the commanding general of the Army’s Medical Readiness Command, Pacific; she presented the pebble to Bimson, director and commanding officer of Tripler Army Medical Center, at a strategic offsite conference in Honolulu, Hawaii, Aug. 11-13, 2025. During the conference, members of DHN IP and MRC, P learned the principles of governance and created a combined governance structure to guide both organizations as they provide health care and medical readiness in the region.
