BRISBANE, Australia (July 30, 2025) – Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Hilda Devera, assigned to the forward-deployed submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), presents a patch to Jeremy Cornforth, U.S. Consul General Sydney, during a tour aboard Frank Cable, while on a scheduled port visit in Brisbane, Australia, July 30, 2025. Frank Cable hosted a reception for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Pacific Day, a celebration of shared U.S.-Australian history, commemorating the end of World War II in the Pacific. Frank Cable and the Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Ohio (SSGN 726) are in port Brisbane as part of routine operations in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet, the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, operating with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific.
