U.S. Army soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 64th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, supporting Task Force Iron, stand in formation alongside soldiers from NATO Multinational Battle Group Poland and the Polish Land Forces during a ceremony commemorating the 31st anniversary for the 15th Mechanized Brigade at Giżycko, Poland, July 11, 2025. Battle Group soldiers from the United States, Romania, Croatia, and the United Kingdom joined local residents to commemorate the milestone. The event provided an opportunity for residents to engage directly with soldiers from Battle Group Poland, fostering relationships and enhancing cultural understanding. Task Force Iron’s mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent to increase lethality while strengthening partnerships with NATO allies and regional security partners. The task force provides combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s only forward-deployed corps in Europe.
