The Yolo Bypass, located within Yolo County, California, is a large floodplain area designed to divert floodwaters from the Sacramento River away from Sacramento and other nearby communities. The Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area also encompasses a significant portion of the bypass and offers a wide variety of both pastoral scenery, wildflower and wildlife viewing opportunities.
