Soldiers of the 714th Quartermaster Company adjust a water bladder to filter sargassum from the shoreline at Pozuelo Beach during saltwater purification operations.
In coordination with the 219th Quartermaster Detachment of the 292nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, the 714th conducted Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit (ROWPU) operations during Annual Training, turning ocean water into safe, potable water.
This mission highlights the unit’s ability to support field operations by reducing reliance on bottled water logistics. The ROWPU system plays a crucial role in sustaining troops in austere environments and is vital for both combat and humanitarian missions.
