Vietnamese border patrol officials dry screen soil during a pre-deployment site survey in Vietnam, May 26, 2025. Soil is screened using quarter-inch steel mesh, searching for anything relevant to the incident loss, such as aircraft wreckage, life support evidence, and potential osseous material. The United States is committed to DPAA’s mission to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
