Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Chase Sheppard, originally from New Lexington, Ohio, and assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106), discusses deck operations with Midshipmen during a tour of ship, currently moored at Naval Base San Diego, June 20, 2025. During the tour, the midshipmen had the opportunity to interact with Stockdale's crew, and learn about life aboard a U.S. Navy ship as a part of the Career Orientation and Training for Midshipmen and Professional Training of Midshipmen initiatives.
