An Airman from the 23rd Combat Communications Squadron stands on a chair to adjust the strap of a communications tent, while other Airmen provide support from the ground, as the officer in charge inspects during a simulated deployment for Exercise NEXUS RISING 25-01 at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., June 5, 2025. The tent will extend Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) services for an Expeditionary Air Base (XAB) during the exercise. NEXUS RISING 25-01 is a full-scale readiness exercise designed to enhance the ability to generate and sustain combat-ready mobility Airmen and rapidly deploy as an XAB in support of global operations, held June 8-13, 2025.
