Members of a dam inspection team from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District inspect the outlet channel of the Branched Oak Dam located north of Lincoln, Nebraska, June 2, 2025. Water released through the dam during controlled releases empties back into Salt Creek. A periodic inspection of the dam is conducted every five years to identify potential defects and to ensure the dam is functioning as designed.
