U.S. Navy Logistics Specialist 2nd Class Markeece Alexander, a medical supply clerk with 2d Combat Readiness Regiment, 2d Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, is recognized as the Junior Sailor of the Year for II MEF at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Feb. 27, 2025. “I’d like to thank the medical staff of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s command element for allowing me to branch and grow in the right direction,” said Alexander, a native of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. “This award displays our teamwork and legendary work ethic leading up to our deployment and actions beyond.” The Junior Sailor of the year distinction recognizes Sailors who exceed expectations and have contributed significantly to the mission effectiveness of their unit.
