Candidates ruck while carrying the supplies they'll need to support themselves (like 5 gallon water cans) for their second day of this past weekend's Special Forces Readiness Evaluation, hosted by the 3rd Battlation, 20th Special Forces Group at Camp Blanding Joint Training Center, Dec. 8-10, 2023. The second day of SFRE is a grueling affair that starts early and revolves around team-building exercises that test the physical and mental resilience of individual participants and their ability to work in a group. The SFRE is open to civilians and military servicemembers of all branches, and is only the first of many steps before joining the special operations community. (Photo by Sgt.
