During this past weekend's Special Forces Readiness Evaluation, hosted by 3rd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group at Camp Blanding Joint Training Center, Dec. 8-10, 2023, candidates are run through tests and exercises each day, some more grueling than others. The intent of an SFRE is to determine whether a candidate is good fit for the organization, and if they are capable of succeeding at the actual 3-week long selection process held at Fort Liberty, NC. Here, participants are told that after jumping into the lake, they will have a short amount of time to get back onto the raised deck; fail to meet the time hack, and they will have to re-enter the water and repeat the task until successful. The SFRE is open to civilians and military service members of all branches. (Photo by Sgt. Spencer Rhodes, 107th MPAD)
