A search and recovery team, looks for remains, personal effects and aircraft debris at Eldridge Glacier, Denali National Park, Alaska, Aug. 3, 2023. The C-119 crashed on Mount Silverthrone in the Denali Mountain Range Nov. 7, 1952 with
19 service members on board. The National Park Service discovered aircraft debris on Eldridge Glacier in 2016. In the years since the rediscovery Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations has taken great care and consideration for surviving family
