Recovery team members hike to the debris field at Eldridge Glacier, Denali National Park, Alaska, Aug. 3, 2023 in an effort to recover remains, personal effects and aircraft wreckage from a C-119, that crashed on Mount Silverthrone Nov. 7, 1952 in the Denali Mountain Range with 19 service members on board. The National Park Service discovered aircraft debris on Eldridge Glacier in 2016. The recovery team consists of personnel from Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations, Alaskan Command, Alaska National Guard, U.S. Army Alaska, 673rd Air Base Wing, 3rd Wing and Detachment 1, 66th Training Squadron.
