U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jacob Nicholson, a CH-53K King Stallion crew chief with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 461, adjusts four-point harnesses on U.S. Marines inside a CH-53K King Stallion at Marine Corps Outlying Landing Field Oak Grove, North Carolina, Aug. 15, 2023. HMH-461 took part in Large Scale Exercise 2023, a globally integrated exercise designed to refine the synchronization of maritime operations across multiple fleets in support of the joint force. The training was based on a progression of scenarios that will assess and refine modern warfare concepts.
