U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Brenna McDannold, a CH-53K King Stallion pilot with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 461, reads a flight manual during a flight over Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, Aug. 15, 2023. HMH-461 took part in Large Scale Exercise 2023, a globally integrated exercise designed to refine the synchronization of maritime operations across multiple fleets in support of the joint force. The training was based on a progression of scenarios that will assess and refine modern warfare concepts.
