U.S. Airmen assigned to the 75th Expeditionary Fighter Generation Squadron and a 75th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron pilot pause prior to taxi and takeoff of an A-10 Thunderbolt II for a mission conducted with a partner nation at Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates, April 24, 2023. The deployment of A-10s in the region provides additional capability in the Middle East alongside fighter aircraft. This deployment ensures close air support specialists are able to build upon their skills in environments outside of the United States and ensure combat operations remain sharp across the force.
