U.S. Air Force Airman Hannah Mares, 75th Expeditionary Fighter Generation Squadron crew chief, prepares the cockpit of a 75th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron A-10 Thunderbolt II prior to takeoff for a mission conducted with a partner nation at Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates, April 24, 2023. The deployment of A-10s in the region provides additional capability in the Middle East alongside fighter aircraft. This deployment ensures close air support specialists are able to build upon their skills in environments outside of the United States and ensure combat operations remain sharp across the force.
