Staff Sgt. Joshua Huntley and Senior Airman Scott Sorenson, 377th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal team members, utilize radiation detection equipment to check for contamination April 27, 2022, during a training exercise at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. Malmstrom EOD hosted HYDRA FURY 22, a joint training exercise with Air Force EOD flights, FBI, Defense Threat Reduction Agency and Department of Energy personnel. HYDRA FURY tested the agencies abilities to work together and effectively respond to a variety of incidents. The exercise involved interagency accident and incident protocols, reach-backs to headquarters and national-level teams, crime scene preservation, evidence collection and consequence management protocols. The interoperability between these agencies ensure the mission set is upheld: Airmen providing strategic deterrence, global strike and combat support…anytime, anywhere!
