LOPBURI, Thailand – A Green Beret with 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), fires at a target alongside soldiers assigned to the Royal Thai Army during combat management marksmanship skills training at Camp Erawan, Lopburi, Kingdom of Thailand, Aug. 4, 2021. This training was conducted as part of Cobra Gold 21, which is the 40th iteration of the Cobra Gold series of exercises. Cobra Gold is an important element of the U.S. and participating nations’ regional military to military (mil-to-mil) engagement efforts to maintain readiness and increase the capability, capacity and interoperability of partnered nations while simultaneously reinforcing our commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
