LOPBURI, Thailand – A Green Beret with 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), demonstrates long-range marksmanship techniques to soldiers with the Royal Thai Army as part of Cobra Gold 21 at Camp Erawan, Lopburi, Kingdom of Thailand, Aug. 5, 2021. CG21 is the 40th iteration of the Cobra Gold series of exercises. Cobra Gold is an important element of the U.S. and participating nations’ regional military to military (mil-to-mil) engagement efforts to maintain readiness and increase the capability, capacity and interoperability of partnered nations while simultaneously reinforcing our commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
