The dining facility was inspected as one of eight finalists for the Department of the Army Phillip A. Connelly Award. This is the first time an Army dining facility in Southwest Asia became a Connelly finalist, awarded for excellence in the preparation and serving of food in Army troop dining facilities. "Regardless of location, everybody is graded by the same checklist," said Williams.
