A person in military-style camouflage pants and an olive green t-shirt is kneeling on rocky, sparse terrain while working with wiring connected to a red device on the ground. The setting appears to be a rocky quarry or training area with large white and rust-colored boulders in the background. The individual appears to be conducting a technical task involving cables and the red equipment.

210629-N-MO469-1005 YIGO, Guam (Jun. 29, 2021) In a display of interoperability, Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11 Det. Guam work together with Airmen assigned to 554th RED HORSE Squadron to place and detonate C4 explosives in order to blast rock for crushing operations. Rock crushing operations enable Naval Construction Force units to independently produce aggregate in order to perform tasks such as Airfield Damage Repair and Port Damage Repair to enhance fleet maneuverability. NMCB 11 Det. Guam is forward-deployed to execute construction, humanitarian assistance, and theater security cooperation in the U.S. 7th Fleet areas of operation.
