Two military personnel in different uniforms are kneeling on a rocky, gravel-covered terrain working with wiring or cord. One wears Army/multicam camouflage pattern while the other wears Navy Working Uniform (NWU) digital blue/gray pattern, suggesting a joint-service operation. They appear to be handling what may be detonation cord or electrical wiring near a red equipment case.

210629-N-MO469-1006 YIGO, Guam (Jun. 29, 2021) In a display of interoperability, Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11 Det. Guam work together with Airmen assigned to 554th RED HORSE Squadron to place and detonate C4 explosives in order to blast rock for crushing operations. Rock crushing operations enable Naval Construction Force units to independently produce aggregate in order to perform tasks such as Airfield Damage Repair and Port Damage Repair to enhance fleet maneuverability. NMCB 11 Det. Guam is forward-deployed to execute construction, humanitarian assistance, and theater security cooperation in the U.S. 7th Fleet areas of operation.
