Dr. Anna Crumbley, a research chemical engineer, removes the solids from a new batch of fermented micro-organisms. The Chemical Biological Center is currently able to produce 1,000-liter batches of biomanufactured material at its Aberdeen Proving Ground facility, and will be expanding that capacity when Phase 2 of the facility is completed.
