These Airmen are part of a group of Airmen assigned to 1st Detachment, 64th Air Expeditionary Group, who are assisting with the vaccination efforts. Their main responsibility is to support the local community members by ensuring expedient service and improve community member experience while at the CVC. Yarbrough said, “I feel like what we’re doing here is a big part of getting everything back to normal, so that’s pretty exciting.” They are all ready to provide a helping hand to the community of Detroit. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
