U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Michael Cantu, a San Antonio native and aviation resource manager with the 6th Operational Support Squadron, 6th Air Refueling Squadron stationed at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, prepares registration forms and information packets for community members at the state-led, federally-supported Community Vaccination Center at Ford Field in Detroit, April 28, 2021. Cantu is part of a group of Airmen assigned to 1st Detachment, 64th Air Expeditionary Group that are assisting with the vaccination efforts. Cantu’s main responsibility is supporting the local community members by ensuring an expedient registration process. Cantu said, “I feel great about helping the community here, and I’ll do whatever I can in order to do so.” Cantu is ready to provide a helping hand to the community of Detroit.
