A competitor in the Cherry Point Sprint Triathlon pushes through the 10-mile bicycling portion of the three-part race aboard the air station, Aug. 25. A record turnout of more than 200 participants swam, biked and ran the approximately 13 mile course, competing in categories split up by age. The racers wore tracking anklets that precisely traced them as they swam, biked and ran through the approximately 13 mile course. The annual triathlon is part of multiple races in the Eastern North Carolina that form the 2012 Semper Fit Grand Prix Series, hosted by Marine Corps Community Services.
