Participants from the first wave of competitors in the Cherry Point Sprint Triathlon strategize before diving into the 400-meter swimming portion of the three-part race aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, Aug. 25. A record turnout of more than 200 racers made up of Marines, sailors and members of the community came out for the annual Marine Corps Community Services hosted event.
