Richard Cheeseman prepares to give a challenge coin to Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Luke Skinner, from Florida, assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 48, in the hangar bay of the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea (CG 58). Rear Adm. Cheeseman gave challenge coins and a motivating speech to Sailors before they deployed. Philippine Sea is currently moored at Naval Station Norfolk after completing their Task Force Exercise (TFEX) in preparation for deployment.
