JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Aug. 7, 2020) – Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class James Brewer, a Tactical Combat Casualty Care instructor at Naval Hospital Jacksonville and Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Jacksonville, repositions a simulated patient. Brewer, a native of Brunswick, Georgia, says “Being a hospital corpsman is more than working in a hospital. It means that you have to be able to adapt to, and successfully work in, any environment or condition. TCCC prepares service members to work outside of controlled environments. It introduces them to multiple situations, enabling students to think critically and understand how vital the element of time can be.” (U.S. Navy photo by Jacob Sippel, Naval Hospital Jacksonville/Released).
