Marines with the mural painting team unveil the Marine Week Cleveland mural during the unveiling ceremony at the corner of East 55th Street and Carnegie Road in Cleveland June 15, 2012. The six-Marine team spent a week painting the mural for roughly 12 hours a day in support of Marine Week Cleveland. This was the first mural for most of the team and none had completed one of its magnitude - 8 feet by 48 feet, said Staff Sgt. Randy L. Kirby art director, Marine Corps Recruiting Command at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., and Hanover, Va., native. More than 750 Marines will be in Cleveland until June 17 displaying Marine aircraft, vehicles and equipment, as well as interacting and sharing with the public the values and character of the Marine Corps. One of the culminating events will be a Marine Air Ground Task Force demonstration, which showcases Marines' ability to assault from ship-to-shore via ground and air, June 16-17, at Burke Lakefront Airport.
