FORT SHAFTER, Hawaii (Jan. 21, 2020) Director General for Facilities and Installations, Minister’s Secretariat, Kenji Takagi (second to right), Japan Ministry of Defense (MOD), participates in an office call discussion with Pacific Ocean Division (POD) Commanding General, Brig. Gen. Thomas Tickner (right), regarding continued engineering partnership opportunities, proposed program improvements and solutions to shared challenges. POD, along with Japan Engineer District, conducts technical exchanges with the Japan MOD to enhance existing bilateral relationships and to improve engineering support to U.S. and Japanese governments in execution of respective missions. This collaboration is part of a longstanding agreement between the two countries and enhances peace and security in the region.
