Rushing to his next firing location with his shotgun Sgt. First Class Paul Deugan is participating in the 2019 Fort Benning Multi-gun Challenge at Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia, today. Deugan, a resident of Ankeny, Iowa, is the state marksmanship coordinator for the Small Arms Readiness Team of the Iowa National Guard and also a member of the National Guard Action Shooting Team. The team consists of Guard Soldiers come from an assortment of different states and are testing their shooting skills against members of different military services and civilian law enforcement teams. Each stage at the event requires the shooters to fire different weapons in order to complete the stage and tests how well they handle each weapon and just how fast they can complete the stage.
