The smoke is still wafting off the shotgun barrel as 1st Lt. Garrett Miller starts his current stage. Miller, a resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, is the plans officer with National Guard Marksmanship Training Center and a member of the National Guard Action Shooting Team. The team which consists of six National Guard Soldiers are participating in the 2019 Fort Benning Multi-gun Challenge today. The Guard Soldiers are from a variety of different states testing their shooting skills against members of different military services and civilian law enforcement teams. Each stage at the event requires the shooters to fire different weapons in order to complete the stage and tests how well they handle each weapon and how fast they can complete the stage.
