1st Sgt. Kirk Holmer, a member of the National Guard Action Shooting Team, prepares to cover his second shooting event for today. Holmer, a resident of Camp Williams, Utah, is part of the six man team the National Guard sent to the 2019 Fort Benning Multi-gun Challenge. The challenge is at Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia, and includes 12 events over a three day period. Each event requires the shooter to far multiple weapons to qualify and to knock down all the targets. Time is of the essence and failure to knock down a target means a penalty which adds on more time to the competitor’s score. (U.S. Army National Guard Photo by Staff Sgt. Tegan Kucera)
