Recruits with Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, climb up to the dive for life during the Water Survival Basic Qualification at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Oct. 8. The dive prepares recruits to safely exit a ship in case it’s severely damaged. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Hotel Company is scheduled to graduate December 6.
