Recruits with Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, inflate their blouse during the Water Survival Basic Qualification course at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Oct. 8. The recruits were taught various methods to make improvised life preservers in case of an emergency during swim qual. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Hotel Company is scheduled to graduate December 6.
