SAN DIEGO (July 29, 2019) Machinery Repairman 2nd Class Sam Leonard prepares a high security combination lock to be cut open aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8). The ship’s engineering department worked to ensure all confidential and classified information was vacant prior to the disposal of the filing unit.
