    Dr. Daniel Perl, Professor of Pathology (Neuropathology) from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Center for Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine (CNRM) discusses the effects of improvised explosive device blasts and the correlation with traumatic brain injury with Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune Intrepid Spirit Concussion Recovery Center staff. NMCCL welcomed Dr. Daniel Perl, for a Lunch and Learn presentation May 2, 2019. Dr. Perl discussed his studies relating to blast-exposed service members, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and the long and short-term effects of such events and diagnoses. Perl's research focuses on those at risk for repeat concussion episodes such as military members and has been featured in The New York Times.
