Commanding Officer CAPT Jeff Timby addresses students from Onslow County Schools prior to the beginning of the STEM Fair held May, 3, 2019. Students were treated to an inside look into a few of the areas that make NMCCL THE Medical Center of the Marine Corps during a STEM Fair for high school and middle students. The STEM fair aimed to introduce them to different fields of study within the medical field that use science, technology, engineering and math. Eight stations led by NMCCL Sailors and staff demonstrated potential fields of study within the Navy that students may not have previously considered for their futures. Schools that participated included Dixon High School, Southwest High School, Swansboro High School, and Northwoods and Swansboro Middle Schools.
