Zachary Levi, both assigned to the "Vipers" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 48, conduct preflight checks on an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, also assigned to HSM 48, before flight quarters on the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98). Forrest Sherman and HSM 48 are participating in a sustainment exercise with the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, an integrated, comprehensive exercise designed to ensure HSTCSG is ready to meet all mission sets and carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
