SAN DIEGO (April 5, 2019) Sailors carry a casualty for a simulated air extraction during a shipboard surgical trauma training event at the Strategic Operations, Inc. training facility in San Diego, California. Shipboard surgical trauma training is a weeklong course that teaches cooperation between medical personnel from different commands, and places Sailors in training that attempts to realistically simulate a mass casualty in a combat zone.
