190406-N-IC246-0543 ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 6, 2018) Sailors, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98), account for all chocks and chains before an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to the "Vipers" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 48, commences take-off. Forrest Sherman and HSM 48 are participating in a sustainment exercise with the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, an integrated, comprehensive exercise designed to ensure HSTCSG is ready to meet all mission sets and carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
