190406-N-IC246-0522 ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 6, 2018) Boatswain's Mate Seaman Michael Dial removes the chock and chains from an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to the "Vipers" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 48, during flight quarters on the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98). Forrest Sherman and HSM 48 are participating in a sustainment exercise with the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, an integrated, comprehensive exercise designed to ensure HSTCSG is ready to meet all mission sets and carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
