The image shows three naval vessels underway on open ocean under an overcast sky. The foreground features a large warship, likely a command or amphibious vessel, with a second similar vessel visible to the right at mid-distance, and a smaller vessel visible on the horizon in the background. The ships appear to be operating in formation or in close proximity during a naval exercise or patrol.

The Royal Thai Navy ships HTMS Bang Rachan (MHC 631) and HTMS Surin (LST 722) and Republic of Korea ship Hyangnobong (LST 683) steam alongside the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) during a Division Tactic (DIVTAC) exercise, a tactical maneuvering exercise Feb. 14. USS Tortuga (LSD 46) also participated in the DIVTAC. Germantown, with embarked elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently underway in support of Cobra Gold an annual recurring multinational and multi-service exercise co-hosted by the Royal Kingdom of Thailand and the U.S. designed to increase interoperability with participating nations by training as a multinational force that shares common goals and security commitments in the Asia-Pacific region.
