    The forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown follows behind the Royal Thai Navy ships HTMS Bang Rachan, HTMS Surin and Republic of Korea ship Hyangnobong during a division tactic exercise Feb. 14. USS Tortuga also participated in the division tactic exercise. Germantown, with embarked elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently underway in support of Cobra Gold an annual recurring multinational and multiservice exercise co-hosted by the Royal Kingdom of Thailand and the U.S. designed to increase interoperability with participating nations by training as a multinational force that shares common goals and security commitments in the Asia-Pacific region.
