JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 26, 2019) – Lt. Alex Breslau, an osteopathic physician at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, works on a patient’s lower back at the hospital’s Family Medicine Clinic. Breslau, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, says, “My dual decision to become an osteopathic physician and join Navy Medicine are two things that mesh together beautifully. As a physician who uses osteopathic manipulative treatment on a regular basis, I’m able to provide an alternative modality to evaluate and treat patients in a hands-on fashion. This broadens my ability to contribute to the readiness of our sailors, and provide families and retirees with a wider scope of practice to address their needs."
