JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 22, 2019) – Lt. Andra Wilke (left), a registered obstetrics nurse at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, conducts neonatal resuscitation simulation training with Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Amber Garman and Hospitalman Gisselle Pintado in the Maternal Infant Unit. Wilke, a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was named a Great 100 Nurses of Northeast Florida. “I love being a nurse. I truly found my heart in labor and delivery and maternal newborn nursing. Whether it’s taking care of patients at the bedside or teaching new nurses and corpsmen, I strive for safe, quality care for my patients.” Four Naval Hospital Jacksonville nurses have been selected for The Great 100 Nurses of Northeast Florida’s “Great 100” award. The award recognizes nurses who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the patients and families for whom they care, the profession as a whole, and the community in which they live.
