JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 20, 2019) – Lt. Cmdr. Dagoberto Salinas, a clinical nurse specialist at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, and Tracee-ann Palmer, a registered nurse, conduct ultrasound-guided intravenous training at the hospital’s Multi-Service Unit. Salinas, a native of Laredo, Texas, was named a Great 100 Nurses of Northeast Florida. “I joined the Navy at age 17 in pursuit of a career in healthcare, and today, I’m proud to be at its forefront. I get the satisfaction of shaping nursing practice through research, coaching, and education.” Four Naval Hospital Jacksonville nurses have been selected for The Great 100 Nurses of Northeast Florida’s “Great 100” award. The award recognizes nurses who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the patients and families for whom they care, the profession as a whole, and the community in which they live.
